Why – What happened?

For many years, we simply procrastinated on remodeling our own kitchen, and replacing our front door. We were busy – didn’t want the mess, thought it might be too expensive. After all, I actually heard about my mother’s friend (more than once) who had a kitchen done back in 2020 who paid ‘a fortune’ to have it done, and still was unhappy! Mom begged us to go in and help… Well, an experience with my house and a flood due to a dishwasher problem gave a perfect opportunity to turn famine to feast! Rather than hire a company to come in and do what we knew ultimately what went on – and what so many customer over the years begged us to do, we put our thinking-caps on and went to work. I didn’t try to sell myself anything ‘extra’ and we started ripping-up and out. We had sources for cabinets that we new, and adapted others that we needed. My new kitchen was wonderful – and I thought…. why not? Expand and do this for those others who just couldn’t seem to find anyone who would give that extra dedicated effort.

but wanted to preserve the old granite.

Kitchen Work included appliance replacement
and new floors – we have sources for that too.

A total re-work of the kitchen included knowing
how to mount and shim the cabinet supports.

Craftsman-Style

All new soft-close drawers, and all of the cabinet
doors are soft-close and self-closing.

We wanted a new floor-style and look.
We were thrilled with the results.

Bathroom Project

While doing the kitchen, we looked around and thought the bathrooms needed something, but not a total re-work. So, we used our skills for moulding and trimwork, and our resources for hardware a did a bit of updating to cabinets that really did not need to be ripped-out.

We took off old hinges and added soft-close hinges and drawers

The new hinges were drilled-in to make them look pre-installed

Safety handles installed into the heavy glass shower for contemp look
